Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharman has chaired a pre-Budget assembly with the finance ministers of all states and Union Territories for taking their inputs and recommendations for the upcoming Budget for 2023-24.

The assembly occurred at the moment within the nationwide capital.

Besides Nirmala Sitharaman and state/UT (Union Territories) finance ministers, Union Minister of State (MoS) for Finance Pankaj Chaudhary and Bhagwat Karad, secretaries from varied arms of Union finance ministry, and Chief Economic Advisor Anantha Nageswaran amongst others attended the assembly.

Nirmala Sitharaman has thus far chaired a number of pre-Budget consultations with teams of specialists and trade leaders, together with agricultural and meals processing trade specialists.
