Luka Doncic injury upgrade will hype up Dallas fans

Luka Doncic’s injury status has been finally upgraded ahead of the Dallas Mavericks’ meeting with the Memphis Grizzlies on Monday, though it remains uncertain if he can suit up.

Doncic, who was listed as out in the Mavs’ past four games due to a bothersome thigh injury, has been upgraded to questionable for the Grizzlies showdown, per Mavs PR. While there’s a chance that he remains sidelined, it is definitely an encouraging update.

For what it’s worth, Doncic did say recently that he’s targeting to play against the Grizzlies. He’s considered day-to-day with his left thigh strain, and by the looks of it, he has made significant progress that the Mavs are now considering putting him back on the court.

Luka Doncic suffered the injury during their March 8 meeting with the New Orleans Pelicans. The Slovenian guard had to leave the contest after 27 minutes of play as his left thigh started to hurt and became burdensome for him.

It is unknown if there will be some kind of limitations on Doncic when he returns, though it won’t be surprising if the Mavs manage his minutes or avoid playing him in back-to-back games.

The 24-year-old star isn’t the only player on Dallas’ injury report, though. Kyrie Irving is still dealing with a right foot soreness and has been listed as questionable along with Markieff Morris.
